Helping mothers who have traveled a harrowing journey, often while on foot to come to America was an absolute joy for COHI Board Member Nadege Duvernay and COHI Founder, Vanessa.
Together, we gained insight and fostered a deeper understanding of the realities faced by individuals striving for a new chapter in their lives.

Vanessa Jean-Louis and COHI Board Member and The Apostles House CEO, Nadege Duvernay sponsored a Community Baby Shower for 4 pregnant migrants. Additional families with newborn babies were also served.
Partnered with Board Member, Father Gene Squeo of the Haiti Solidarity Network to provide clothing, toys, VISA gift cards, and Christmas items to Haitian migrant families.
Theta Phi Sigma Christian Sorority Incorporated Malachi Rho chapter of Northern New Jersey provided clothing, blankets, pillows, toys, and baby items to migrant families.
COHI Founder, Councilwoman Charnette Frederick and others protested the treatment of Haitian Migrants in Newark, New Jersey.
COHI partnered with the International Rescue Committee, New Jersey Office of Refugees, Baby2Baby, and the New Jerusalem Baptist Church to provide over 250 backpacks and school supplies along with over 400 boxes of diapers and other necessities!
